Youphoria:Inter-school Competition -15Sep19

Youphoria – 2019,  Inter School Competitions will be conducted at Ashraya on Sunday 15 September 2019 from 10:15 AM onwards.                   To view images of the event click here

 The competition is open only for students studying in classes V to X.

We will acknowledge once we get the entry form. If it is emailed, carry the original form duly signed on the day of competition. Youphoria – 2019- Inter School Competitions        ;There will be  five competitions as mentioned below:

The Events and the Rules:-

  • Singing

Singing, as a form of art, is a medium of recreation. To bring out the talent, a light solo singing competition in Hindi will be held. The student will sing a song of his/her choice.

Rules:

  1. Maximum two participants per school.
  2. Each participant will be allowed five minutes.
  3. Each participant will be allowed one accompanist.
  4. Participants should get their own accompaniments.
  • Elocution

Everybody can speak. But few can speak eloquently. To exhibit their oratory skills, a subject will be given to the Students and they are required to speak on it in English. The topics for the competition:

  1. Role of Mass media in present world affairs
  2. Courage in uncertainty
  3. Patience, the missing link of current generation
  4. Organ donation

Rules:

  1. Maximum two participants per school.
  2. Maximum of four minutes allowed per participant.
  • Quiz

The quest for knowledge is the driving force behind education. To test the knowledge, a quiz competition, oral / written will be conducted.

Rules:

  1. One team of two participants from each school.
  2. No reference material permitted.
  • Creative writing

Just a look at a picture to drive your imagination!!

A picture will be displayed to the participant and the challenge will be to best describe the picture or develop a story around the picture.

Rules:

  1. Maximum two participants from each school
  2. Time allowed – 45 minutes.
  3. Not more than 500 words.

 Discover India (Folk Dance Competition)

Academics do provide an insight to our rich cultural heritage, but actually experiencing a part of our culture would have a lasting impression on all of us.

Rules:

  1. Each school has to select a historical / Cultural Event of a state.
  2. A folk dance of the above selected historical / Cultural Event has to be performed with minimum 3 and maximum 6 participants on the stage. Time allotted for the dance is 10 minutes.

Please note:

  1. Please read the instructions / rules and regulation of each event carefully.
  2. All participants should be bonafide students of the participating school.
  3. Carry the original entry forms if the entries are sent through mail or fax.
  4. Register your name at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
  5. Free snacks and lunch will be provided to participants and two accompanying teachers.
  6. Canteen facility will be available.
  7. There will be three prizes in each competition provided there are minimum 6 participants / schools participating.
  8. Decision of the judges will be final.
  9. To qualify for The Best School & Runners-up Trophies, Schools must have participated in Discover India and at least two other events.
  10. Rules are subject to change at the sole discretion of the organisers.
  11. Certificates will be issued to all participants.
  12. Damage to the premises or property of the Association, if any, will be recovered from the school.
  13. The organizers will not be liable for damages, loses or injuries to the participants during the course

of the event.

Note: The above schedule is a tentative one & subject to changes depending on Number of Participants. Hence we request all the participants to come in the morning and enjoy all the events.
